I have 3.5 yrs experience in IT project management, and I am interested in consulting. Based on compensation rates, I am open to entry-level (associate) positions at MBB firms. Is it a better idea to apply to entry-level positions now, apply as an EH to a Big4, or wait a few months to have the strongest application? I am looking at generalist consulting, not tech/IT specific.

I am a Senior Program manager and I am interested in doing a certification related to program management to advance my career and increase in compensation. I am thinking PgMP certification vs Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt certification. I have a somewhat unsteady, gappy work history due to several health issues — serious ones — that have gotten in the way since I passed the bar. My first major health issue I can easily explain as it’s physical, a major concussion. My other health issues are severe depression that affected my ability to work steadily. I am better finally, and ready to get back to work, but I don’t know how to explain this or even approach this during interviews/resume writing.
