Hi Guyz,
Any one from IBM ?
I went through the entire recruitment process and got selected for IBM ISL. Now I am being told by the HR that they are unable to release offer as there is a hiring freeze.
Can any one please tell me if its correct or just an excuse not to give me offer. If its true, when will this freeze be removed?

And it won’t change. Not unless they get rid of all of leadership and completely start anew. Toxicity comes from the people...
Good people quit their managers, not their jobs. Go where you can do your best work.
My current job is getting really toxic and I can’t tell if it will pass or not. A lot of sexism and bad leadership. But I still can’t help but feel it may get better
If your gut is telling you that you are unhappy and it is a toxic workplace, you deserve every bit to get yourself out of there. It’s not in your head and you are not imagining things. Many agencies unfortunately have toxic environments in my own experience. It’s something that you do not deserve and it can get better but you really need to remove yourself from that place! For your own mental health and sanity.
It will definitely not get better. Good luck and enjoy the new job!
I’m not sure what the risk with the new job is and it seems a little soon to say exactly how it’ll affect you.
Maybe you won’t be as creatively fulfilled at your new job, but maybe you will feel more empowered and confident because you’ll have taken a step away from a toxic work environment?
Go be your best self today so that you get the job offer. Once you have all the details, you can way the pros and cons. That being said, it doesn’t sound like the current job is going to get better. Good luck!
It’s not going to get better. You’re merely having reservations b/c as a junior it’s all you’ve ever known. Get out of there. Good luck on the interview!
New job 💯. Toxic workplaces stay toxic until they eventually lose business.
Did you notice that no one is mentioning the pay? You should never leave a job or take a job solely based on pay. That said, you mentioned less stress as the second positive. While you can’t know if the new job has sexism, toxicity, and bad leadership, you should find out other things that are important to you (career growth, flexible work arrangements, benefits, client roster, market reputation, company trajectory, etc.) and weigh the pros and cons.
Ultimately, if your current work environment is stressful, it is important for you to begin looking elsewhere.
