I have a lot of Marriott Bonvoy points (7 figures) and my wife and I would like to travel somewhere for two weeks.

Anyone deal with this before: I inherited a severely under developed team including a sr analyst who clearly was doing the bare minimum, if that. Is Tokyo doable as a solo traveler with zero knowledge of the language? Thinking of doing a group trip there but adding on a few days alone in Tokyo at the beginning. I’m pretty well traveled in general and do just fine alone, but a different alphabet certainly makes things harder (if translations aren’t common). Female if that makes a difference.

We flew back from Ireland today on Delta. Our connecting flight from JFK at 6:10 was cancelled while we were flying over the Atlantic Ocean, and we were rebooked on a 3:40 instead (2.5 hours earlier) but not notified. I received no email, text or app notification of the flight cancellation or the new flight we were placed on, so we missed it.
