I've had a hybrid role for the past 4 years where I get unlimited sick days (well 14 really until fmla kicked in), 3 weeks of vacation, 3 personal days. I am also given the week after Xmas off. if my toddlers are sick I can work at home with them. Interviewing w fortune 500 that offers 15 pto days that have to use for sick days too.Strictly in office job 9-5 and dress bus.prof. These bad benefits? Outdated culture?I am a seasoned professional. Seems tough.

How many FTO days do you actually take off a year? 17 days is pretty good, that’s almost 3 and a half weeks worth of vacation or even longer if you plan it out right
I probably took like 25 this year. (Mostly because I’m the summer I just stopped caring/ was extremely burnt out and took extra days off)
I feel like you’re making a good point. 17 isn’t bad. Get all bank holidays because it’s trading. And no burn out that will make me feel I have to take more
skeptical of the WLB claim. I know a decent amount of people who work / have worked at trading firms (myself included) and all have agreed WLB is generally on par with or worse than PA.
They pay over time if you work more than 50 hours. One of the managers who just came from PA said that the only time you’ll ever get to 55-60 would be the two weeks at the end of the audit
