Coach
C-suite sex scandals, funding scams and conglomerate Pacman. These things are as common as air.
Great bold creative work based on a powerful idea that you're proud of? So rare. So so rare...
Put it in. No question.

If the work aired, then you shouldn’t think twice.
If the work got shelved then, yeah, it’s legally weird to share the work before the client who paid for it shares it. (Although I’ve personally done this once or twice, and never got sued)
Nobody cares. If anything, it’s a good story at the interview.

Did the work ever air?
If you’re proud of the work and it represents the type of work you want to work on then, definitely, put in your portfolio. Potential employers hire you for your creative work not the CEO’s behavior. Putting the work in your portfolio doesn’t say that you approve of their behavior.
And you can always include a disclaimer on the work saying when/if the work aired and that you are no longer affiliated with the CEO or his controversial statements etc.
Good work is good work.
