I have been paying on my student loans for over 10 years but I still owe more than I started with because I can't get ahead of the interest. The estimate for paying off my loans is 57 years, I'll be paying on these loans for the rest of my life the way things are going. Why do we just accept that this is normal?

That is the scam of income based repayment.

What?? I thought having about 30 years to pay mine off was ridiculous. Can you double down on them somehow, refinance with a smaller interest rate, or how about the loan forgiveness plan? Do you qualify for that?

I paid mine off last year 🥳🎉🍾

What repayment plan you on? I’m on save and as long as I pay for 25 years then whatever is left gets forgiven/ released

Man OP I am right there with you. NO matter how much I pay it doesn't even put a dent in what I owe. It seems like no matter how muh I pay there is always going to be more and more and I will never keep up.

How hard is everyone pushing their corporate clients to authorize nonresident assignees whose only 2020 US compensation was the value of their 2019 tax preparation?
My clients are pushing back on it this year, and I can't say I blame them. If I were in their shoes, I'd rather take the risk of not filing than the expense of filing again. From my own point of view, I don't really want to spend my time on such returns, either, even if the revenue and easy return are nice.

Is this an aggressive position? Would you use final regulations effective for tax year beggining Dec 16, 2020 to support a deduction for calendar tax year 2020? Proposed regulations didn't include this exception. More details below.

Hey FishBowl Friends, so I’m currently trying to break into tech sales/FinTech and I feel that due to my previous work history, I might not look like the ideal candidate on paper but I’m an extremely fast learner and very coachable. I’ve been a manger at a gym, got my degree in finance, worked as a client advisor at a top 3 auto dealer in the nation and now I’m a project manager at a solar company. I really want something that’s remote and steady, any recommendations on how to spruce myself up?
