I have been tasked with exploring a new system for our company's HR, recruiting and payroll functions. We currently utilize Paylocity for a weekly payroll for 100 employees. Who have you used and liked? Thank you!

We’re similar in size and currently use Paychex (but have outgrown their capabilities). I went through the RFP process with several PEOs/systems and we will be moving to Insperity.

like

Insperity is one of the few Certified PEOs. That was important to me. Platform has numerous capabilities that we don’t currently have. We’d also be working with a broker (one I’ve worked with before) during open enrollments, someone working for/with us to get us the best possible renewals.

Paychex platform does not meet all our needs/requests (ex: Total Compensation Statements). Paychex expertise is not in line with expectations (ex: multi-state tax/compliance scenarios). Paychex open enrollment/renewals are you get what you get.

We are about 100 employees and use Paychex. It works for our purposes.

like

I’ve used Paylocity, Rippling and ADP and hands down prefer ADP. Robust payroll, Recruiting in the Workforcenow platform is administratively easy and very intuitive for hiring managers. I’m happy to answer any questions you have.

Hello everyone! I am looking for advice. I am a C&B Team lead ( about 15 years of experience) but all my experience was in Russia. Now I got married and moved to UK , plus we have got a baby in 2019 so now I am looking for a job in UK having 3 years of career break. Although, I am getting CIPD lvl 7 diploma this year. I am not ready for team leader's role now . So my question is about HR area, where could I find a job with my only Russian experience? HR generalist, C&B analyst, HR BP, recruiter?

Does the word “inclusion” do more harm than good? What if the panel we simply said “Diversity & Equity”? My thought here is that inclusion insinuates that anyone who isn’t in the “majority” needs to feel “included”, which could be somewhat off putting. Shouldn’t the goal be for everyone to feel equal instead of simply feeling included? I’d love to get some opinions on this!

Hi everyone! In this field, when choosing a masters degree program is it more beneficial to get a degree in Human Resources to further my knowledge in HR (my undergraduate degree is in Economics) , an MBA, or Data Science Degree due to the fact that HR is becoming more data driven as well as get a PHR / SHRM-CP certification?

I’ve been in my current position (Bookkeeper) for 4 years now. I’m highly interested in taking the PHR, and I’m wondering if I would qualify for the 4 year HR professional job requirement to be eligible to test for the certificate. I work for a small business, therefore I do all the on boarding paperwork/payroll. Any advice is appreciated.

Question: an employee was asked by his boss for same day turn around on responses/deliverables on a days he requested PTO. He completed the work. The manager wants to know if she can still deduct PTO time for the days requested, even though he completed work on those days. Help.

Hey all, Happy Monday. Curious for feedback on how you've seen severance offers approached.

My prior companies have always been what I thought of as average: min of 2 weeks plus extra week for every year for ICs, min of 4 weeks plus extra week for every year for managers, etc. for Directors & beyond.

Current co refuses to offer more than 1-2 weeks, max. I had to go to bat recently for a 3 year + manager level only to get 3 weeks and my leadership team is NOT happy with me.

Thoughts?

My annual perf discussion is monday morning. I work on a tough team for a tough place. I think Im a pretty good/almost high performer but only around 3 years and my boss seems to still act like I’m brand new (lifer boomer). I try to tell myself he has 6 direct reports and has to do this with everyone, Im no more or no less special - but I hate these convos and negative feedback even when most of it is unsurprising/fair feedback. Any tips? Just need to get through it! HR people are not immune!
