Hi Guys...
I have a total of 5.5 years of experience with current CTC as 11.5 lpa.
I have a offer from Infosys of 17 lpa
But my company wants to retain me and they are giving me an opportunity for Canada onsite in return of retention(no raise or bonus)
Please suggest me, if i should take the onsite opportunity or keep looking for counter on my current offer.

I’ve always politely declined counter offers for the same reason I haven’t changed my mind about break-ups (not at least since college) when promises of improved behavior or changed conditions suddenly appear when the other the other party realizes I really am moving on but the needle had never moved in earlier discussions: because if they really wanted a continued relationship they would have invested in the relationship before the end of it was right in front of them. What your current job is doing isn’t a sudden understanding of retention – it’s the panic of knowing they have to fill a position, which in healthcare is almost certainly already shortstaffed, in a timeframe they don’t have the control over. It is not an indication of how they view your worth, and if they will treat you better in the future.

I accepted a counter offer and I have regrets. They stuck by the schedule change for a while but then they made cuts and took it away.... So now here I sit in golden handcuffs because they had also bumped my pay up and I can't find any other job that would pay me this well.
Go where they treat you the best and meet your needs. You found the other job, now start looking again. This co is taking you for granted Again.
Well. Do you love your current job( coworkers, location)? Or would you love the new job. Have you visited the new job yet. I would consider taking a look at the new job and if it doesn’t fit then return to the old job. It’s a win win.
Don't act brand new now...bye felecia. Now they wanna give you ur props nah I'm good
Compare the "massive counter" offer to the new "incredible offer". Financially consider your cost of health benefits, vacation and sick time. Get what you need by comparing facts and not feelings. Look at all of the apples not just the red ones.
I have worked in different hospitals and have been told that counter offers are not to be accepted, because if they valued you before you found another job or career, they would have offered it before knowing you found another job.
Every job HR spoken to said that was a Band-Aid on an issue. The best advice is to move on if they didn’t feel you were worth that extra money
The exact thing happened to my son. He has his CDL and was driving local for a company that required him to be on call every other weekend. They were short on dump drivers, so it was common to work 55-60 hours a week. When he found a job offering similar pay and less hours, he accepted. Then his current employer counter-offered with a small raise and no weekend rotation. He talked it over with his wife, then asked my thoughts on it. I’ve been in management for 20+ years, so I look at things from a leadership perspective. We talked money and hours, talked benefits. Then I asked him how he thought his fellow drivers would feel when he is taken out of the weekend rotation. Resentment would certainly raise its ugly head. Not a good situation. So after 24 hours of contemplation, he passed on the counter offer. That was six weeks ago, and he absolutely loves his new job. When you are considering a counter offer, make sure you look at it from every angle. Then follow your instincts. Good luck!
Don’t accept. It’s better to start anew and move on. Congratulations. What’s the update?
