I had an interview with Cognizant and then got an email from HR to fill in CIS form and also along with to send all the documents. After i send all those details i got an email saying the position went on hold and to wait until they revert.
Any idea that how much time it would take for the position to be released? They did not respond when i asked the same question.

Tried asking the same Question to HR, but didn't get a proper response. She just mentioned as per company policy.

I went to an interview once years ago and was told that am going to be interviewed by the owner himself. I did not even get the opportunity to introduce myself or talk about the job. The guy casually asked me what football (soccer) that I support. I didn’t know how to react and I told him and he told me how much he hated my team. For 30 minutes nothing about the interview/job was mentioned except football and I kept thinking if I had been pranked. The next minute he said “I have studied your CV and am impressed, what is your notice period again”? I said 2-4 weeks. He said “if you are able to start in two weeks, the job is yours”. I said yes, I am. He said “congratulations, they will send the contract and the onboarding details and see you soon”. I was gobsmacked. It was the weirdest job interview experience ever.
At least he didn’t ask you what plant you would be if you can choose….
"Thanks for that background. That was very helpful. I wanted to be sure to highlight my experience with X and Y, being mindful of time. In terms of X....."
They received your resume before they contacted you. If you have a linked in profile they have looked at that as well. He wanted to tell you about the firm and what they do. Consider ever interview as practice until you land an offer. At the end ask yourself did you dodge a bullet or miss an opportunity? Work from there.
A good way to pivot might be to wait for a natural pause and say, "I appreciate all this context, it’s helpful. Could I take a moment to tell you a bit about my background and how it connects to the role?" Most interviewers will respond positively to that.
