Yes. Work hard during the recession and invest as much as possible into the depressed assets and go into real estate and listen to a few hundred episodes of bigger pockets so that when prices fall if they do you will understand the fundamentals well enough to notice when there is a good opportunity.

I was fat fire and had a net worth of around 1m by 28 then 2m by 30

I did that with trading and lost a ton. My advice would be to start small with whatever it is you’re doing don’t just go full head on.

I spent the last 3 months "growing up" & now I'm ready to go. 1st thing is for me to get my own place. I'd like to buy instead of rent because I don't want to pay someone else's mortgage.

I'm thinking of selling my car & cash out some of my 401k to buy a house. My thought is to put down 3.5% for a FHA loan then make a big payment towards the principal to reduce long-term interest.

Anything wrong with this thinking or anything else I should consider?

I am an associate at an AM200 firm and was (IMO) very clear prior to accepting this role that I value work-life balance and wanted to try to keep work at night on the weekends to a minimal, but since February, it seems like it’s always something that requires my time as needed disregarding “business hours” or my personal schedule. Thoughts on whether to bring this up or continue to be a team player until I burn out and pay off my student loans?

Hello everyone! This is my first time posting since joining this platform. I’m interested in connecting with someone who is open to HR mentoring. I’ve been in HR now for about six years and have never had a mentor. I’ve been relying mostly on SHRM and other people in the company for feedback. Even if it’s for feedback, I would really appreciate it. Thank you!
