Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.
What do you think?

I’m interviewing for final round of the entry level area manager position at Amazon. I’m working on multiple stories related to the leadership principles. Can anyone provide me some tips regarding the role?
There are 16 leadership principle and I’m thinking of creating some stories around each but the thing that concerns me is what if the questions they ask are related to the same principle and I might have already used up my stories. Something like that. Can anyone please help? Amazon

McKinsey & Company Has any industry experienced candidates pivot to MBB Engagement Manager before? My roommate works at FAANG as Senior Analyst (Ops, 6+ YOE) and was approached by McKinsey & Company recruiter for an EM role. He hasn’t done consulting before. Would this be too much of a risk? His goal is to pivot to PE S&O eventually.

Go work for a government agency. Plenty of data jobs at DOL, CDC, NIH, etc.
JA1, depends on what agency/department. The federal government is huge and they all run by they’re own rules. For example, Dept of State does random screening for their employees. On the other hand, I don’t think the SEC does. Also, this is just if you want to be a direct employee of the government. If you want to be a government contractor or just do government consulting, I’ve never heard of anyone getting tested. (Again, depends who you are a contractor for - if you’re a contractor for the FBI, CIA, or DEA, things might be different. )

I still say get into technical project work. I work like 20 hours a week and hang out all day and get paid more than I should
How do I get into these roles from strategy consulting? Do I need to go back to school?

Why
Come to Federal consulting!
Is that 9-5?
Anything outside consulting could be 9 to 5 for the most part. No Friday evening decks for Monday morning meetings.
Depends on how u define stress, wlb and what level u are in. Its not a give expectation to be on client service mode, all thru the week. Sometimes there is genuinely work spill over that needs to be picked up during the weekend. That all happens everywhere.
You can be super efficient as an individual contributor and be on top of ur stuff to avoid that.
That's what my tech friends say.
