The exam is based on a scaled scored between 200-800. I think the min to pass is 450.
When I took the CISM, I only used the ISACA study questions and passed pretty easily. Similar to the CISA, if you take enough practice question from ISACA, you’ll see the same ones on the test.
When I took the test, I had about 7 years of experience in similar areas as yourself. I studied the week before the test doing the question bank.
If you’ve taken the CISA, it’s a lot easier than that test. You’ll start seeing how they ask questions what they’re looking for.
Most cert exams will include “test” questions that aren’t scored to see whether those can be used for future exams or not. It’s standard practice so they can gauge the difficulty/format of questions.
As for how many, ISACA should have a breakdown of how many of the CISM questions will be scored.. I know Google had a breakdown before my last exam, so check their FAQs
OP are you writing the CISM? I’m thinking of attempting it as well. Where did you start? How much are you prepping?
