I know the job market is horrific right now with ai takeover, mass layoffs, and economic uncertainty. That being said, I sat aside some money to study to get my insurance license in hopes of breaking into property and Casualty, and later life and health. Any advice would help tremendously. Would also love some advice on best company to start with. My dream companies are liberty mutual or USAA.

After 6 years of temporary contracts and unstable situations, I find my dream job in my dream company. All of a sudden the world goes upside down and I get laid off. I start sending hundreds of applications, with only 2 recruiters getting back to me to say I don’t have experience for the job (this is how it works in Italy). Add a terrible health situation in my family and it seems there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Ugh. 😞

So, I just fired my first employee as a manager and I'm heartbroken. He was a great, great person but after 6 months on a PIP he just wasn't cutting it skills-wise.
