I left Booz Allen Hamilton a while ago because I was afraid of the DOGE cuts and took a 25% pay reduction. At the time there weren’t very many remote data jobs. Have things improved? I love my new job more than I did working at Booz but am kicking myself for taking the pay cut.

I’ve been with my current company for a little over 5 years now and since the start of the pandemic have been WFH. I absolutely love WFH and have always wanted a position in which I could WFH. I can’t even begin to tell you all how hard of a journey this has been for me and how much sleep I’ve lost throughout these past few months. It was all worth it though. Insights into the best consulting firms for public service/ nonprofit work?

So I’m in industry from big 4, and a colleague with same yoe comes from MBB. High paying tech firm. I think I work harder and produce quality content at speed, but they can hold executive conversations that tend to impress senior stakeholders.

Big 4 produces work horses and MBB produces leaders. Also they could be a work horse too since I don’t have full visibility.

Anyone have similar experiences or do I just suck at executive stakeholder management?
