The laws don't seem to apply to companies that have less than 15 workers
Is there an HR department there? I'd go there if possible. If not, you're best bet is to be proactive and go ahead and bring it up. If there's the possibility of the owner getting upset, try to come up with a way to cover your responsibilities while you're away.
I also have no intention of "going away". I just don't want to be fired for being pregnant or requesting time off.
