Hi there, I have 3.5 YOE working for NHS Finance. I applied to Deloitte Risk Advisory, Public Sector (London, UK) and was successful. Waiting to hear back with package offer but it’s been over 2 weeks - was told they may offer M2 grade, any ideas what this is?
I’m also interviewing for Senior consultant role also at Deloitte. How much would this typically pay?
Torn whether to stay within NHS as I will be getting an internal promotion or move to Deloitte.

Deloitte experienced hires, who all received written offers and in process of visa/ onboarding, have you heard back anything about hiring freeze? Or recruiter asked you to delay joining date?
My visa got submitted couple of days back and waiting for decision. When I reached out to recruiter to give her an update and mentioned once there’s decision will discuss on the start date before putting my 2 weeks, she mentioned “Yes, we should talk before you put notice” - Am I overthinking? Not too early. The grass isn’t greener on the other side for everyone. I boomeranged after 18months but only took that long cos I was really trying hard to stick it out.
What were your main reasons for returning?
Nah.
Won't second guess why you did it - but hoping it was lots and lots of money plus a good title bump
Definately not too early to reach back to your network about potential return
I am one of the mindset, why return to a company that you left. What makes you desire to return to Deloitte? Sure you have spent a decade so your friends are at Deloitte but money isn't the only reason you left. People that return as a boomerang are not as well respected as those that have stuck it out and didn't jump for one reason or another. Takes a solid good three to five years to create a based network at any organization. Deloitte just announced a restructuring globally, so it'll be lots of changes over the course of the next year. Hoping to be completed by June 2025. They will also just announced a downsizing
Mind sharing why you feel that way? Is it because of the mess you have to clean up?
No, I was being coy, it’s the company in my title. I don’t know what Genpact is, but my takeaway - just avoid these low tier firms, like just DONT DO IT. I got a 60% pay bump and regret every second of it. Life is too short and there’s too many good companies out there.
