We're having a holiday party next Tuesday night, and my boss randomly asked me if I could bring some festive stuff to spruce up the venue. Flowers, lights, etc. It's not a big deal, but I am a little miffed that it was delegated to me since I am the only woman on the team. I'm not an assistant!

Have you seen women wear ties and "masculine"-looking suits to work? Was it accepted by client and team? I've never worn a tie to work, but when I've worn clothing that had a more "masculine" fit either in grad school or some work environments, I've gotten comments and looks, or sometimes asked (or people gossiped) about my orientation. When I wear more "feminine"-looking clothing, I feel more more uncomfortable and awkward. 🤷🏼‍♀️
