Minimum 20% to jump.
Lol. Just asking for 7% hike ? The world is so full of cute people. I feel hopeful ( even after Trump)
A3 - what's with the sexist comment?
People at Accenture are really not doing a good job keeping the sexism, fat shaming, and racist comments to themselves. Sure this is an anonymous forum but you're still representing your firm! Would never work at Accenture after this
My friend got 105k base out of college at Google. Depends on your level, but 113k is low
LMAO DUDE. At least 25% and a relocation and signing bonuses.
Are you a woman?
Okay y’all calm down. It wasn’t a sexist comment. Statistically speaking, women don’t negotiate well enough for their roles and are almost always underpaid and it’s usually driven by the fact that they don’t know better. Women don’t think that they should be asking for more and sometimes don’t think they deserve it or should even ask for it. Men will almost always ask for more than and get it.
I’m a woman. Ive studied women in business and women’s leadership. I was making an assumption based off what I know.
OP, not trying to be an ass. But you def deserve and can get more than that kind of raise you were thinking :) ask for more and youll always settle. For me, my settle point would be well over 125K. But also you won’t know unless you do your research and ask. Depending on the role, I’d ask for 140K. I had a friend switch over for 1.5x current salary. But do your research! Don’t undersell yourself
PS- congrats on the promo!
Ask for more, 125-130k, aim that range and then you can negotiate down...
Senior1 left EY for google at 125+...and that may be low. It was a junior strategy role.
I worked at G and returned to consulting after a while. G typically doesn’t pay as well as one may think (I know a number of people who took base pay cut to work there). I left consulting as a Manager and got a moderate (15%) raise is base pay to join. Make sure to consider ALL your compensation when you quote them a number (eg base + bonus + vacation + benefits) - as they will reply that the stock is a big part of their counter offer ($120k+ vesting over four years after the first year). Be prepared for how you wish to respond to that - especially if you don’t see yourself staying for all four years. Also consider changes in cost of living if there is a relocation involved. Lastly - congratulations on the offer. It is a very interesting company with brilliant people that does a lot for their employees.
Always do 20% more
What role? Software Engg/Hardware Engg make north of 110k out of undergrad at Google.
Nope, people analytics role,
What is your experience? Role at Google?
Also I literally got promoted hence the low expectation, 3 years out of school with 3 years work experience
Make sure you set the anchor point, not them. I would agree with 125K-ish, and prepare to accept 115-120
Also, f**k A3 for being an ass. He’s not representative of the population at ACN, and I hope he gets fired ✌🏼
Just tell them that you know they make a lot of money so you need a high salary
People analyst makes like 80k tops. Not a great role
Your leaving for 8k. To low. Get paid unless you feel your overpaid. 8% is low for jumping. However if your going for the name and work take the 113k.
Hope everything works out for you.
.update, I got the offer and they actuallyy expectations of 115 to 135k thanks for the help
Only 1 data point on Glassdoor and it's 98k base, terrible!! Hopefully that's not for NYC
