That has traditionally been the tradeoff, the work can be stultifying but it pays well. If it's an organization in the healthcare insurance field I would assume there wouldn't be a lot of creativity or campaign generation. It's not like they'd be trying to reach consumers so much as just documenting things for B2B purposes.
Is there anything you could do to fulfill the creativity outside of the job? Have something that fills those financial and career goals, but then something for the personal creative outside of that. If nothing else help offset it a bit. I can imagine how much of a stark contrast it is.
Learn how to use AI to make it better. Find another outlet to challenge your brain. Write that book. Pick up freelance. Start looking for another job if you’re unwilling to make the sacrifice. Good luck.
I wouldn't recommend AI for this person. They are already facing a creativity drain and AI will only further that.
I agree with previous comments. It's the tradeoff with a larger company. But tradeoff doesn't mean you never get to be creative. The approach just has to change. With larger firms, they come with built-in messaging. Learn that. Find the box they created. Earn their trust. Then pitch something outside the box.
