I love that quote because it affirms that there are no biological differences among “races”.
Actually there is a difference in biology for any traumatized person. The traumatic experiences is much much higher for blacks, so yes it DOES alter their biology.
Agreed. We have to acknowledge those pesky things like white privilege before we can ever get rid of it...or better yet, spread privilege to all equally.

SO many lies, mistruths and alternate reality!
I suppose what lens you are reading the quote through. I totally understand the quote, and it should be just the human race, but we all know it is not and racism is embedded and a systemic problem. I see the inequity every day for students of color: teacher quality, programs to help the community, etc. The list goes on.

@IES1, exactly. There is no problem with people coming in different shades.
The problem is how some people use the shade of a person’s skin to make judgements about them, and the bigger role politics and laws have in negatively impacting people of color.
