This is a difficult problem that I don’t think will ever be resolved because unfortunately employers have what you want, an open position. Employees will never have the upper hand as long as most of keep excepting this type of treatment. Honestly, the whole system needs to be changed. From the ghosting by recruiters and hiring managers to the emotional terrorism of employees by management to drive results. The whole system benefits the employer and not the employee.
It's ashame because they should work to fix it
That happened to me a lot when I was searching for a new role in 2021. I’m convinced there is some sort of metric major companies have to display they interviewed a wide range of candidates according to DEI polices. There is a voluntary disclosure when you apply. Black ✅ woman ✅ stay woke.
Had 3 interviews with a company and the recruiter who approached me is now ghosting me. The funny thing is I wasn’t crazy about this role but they were all up my butt on getting me until the money convo came up. It’s very childish.
It seems to always go left when the conversation about money occurs
Yup, happened to me in January. Recruiters from this company had been reaching out to me since 2022. I finally figured I'd try it out. Everything went well up until the final interview with the senior director (white male) who interviewed me with his camera off while mine was on. I thought I for sure had it though because we worked with the same systems and even currently work with some of the same clients down to the exact people. Such a waste of my time.
I remember a company made me go through 3 rounds of interviews just to send me a simple 1 sentence of basically thanks but no thanks try again in the future 🙄
Ok, so it's not just me it's happening to. Just went through three rounds of interviews...two presentations and all...only to get that email "we will not be moving forward..."
I am so tempted to reject a third interview the next time around. Like, come on. I am so done with the foolishness.
That's like free work and to be honest it's irritating as hell 🙄
