My friend did this. Two years in Audit and went back to get Masters in Mathematics and became a Data Scientist. Now, he went to part time MBA school at Booth. You can do it if it interests you.

What is the minimum cost for a PG ( single person/ single room ) in bangalore ?

I recently “came out” at my ad agency and listed my pronouns as they/them on zoom and in my email signature. I’m not expecting perfection at all and I’ve posted in Teams with helpful articles, offering to chat if people have questions.

But still, 95% of the company refuses to even address me by my pronouns, remotely try, or ask anything.

The agency itself is led by older conservative men, but I guess I expected at least some effort from younger employees.

What should I do?

I'm accepting an offer at Citi in the Jersey City office, and likely moving to Manhattan. Couple questions I'd appreciate to be answered: What does the hybrid work schedule look like at Citi? Is there shuttle from NYC or PATH subsidy for people commuting across the river? When does your workday officially start and when do you usually end? Is there flexibility to work locally from home, or work from the NYC office in Greenwich Village, or are you required to work in the office?

Hey guys, I am an incoming Bain AC in europe (DACH region) and potentially looking into making the switch into PE later on in my career. Whilst i am aware that it is early to ask, what are some key aspects to follow, how/where to improve to potentially make the jump to a MF or UMM? Is there even a chance as a managment consultant? Do you know of people who managed the jump, if so what time of their career and how? I am asking this early as i know time flies when you then start working!

Why does GNC provide their products at Walmart cheaper than in their own store? I sold a product to a guy who comes in later to return it because it was $15 cheaper at Walmart. Customers don’t go to corporate GNC when this happens, they go to the retail associates working the counter. I feel that this damages my reputation as a salesman when it’s really not my fault.

Have you ever given honest feedback to a company when leaving? For example the d&i initiatives leadership is taking has lead to joking about common racial stereotypes in office whenever an update is sent. I’m not used to those comments being said so freely for all to hear and fear they’d hire a minority (as part of those initiatives) in my place and subject them to that. I’m not sure what there is to gain but wanted to get other points of view.

Has anyone made the leap from Corporate accounting/Financial reporting to something more niche like Revenue Reporting? I work in SEC reporting but want to work somewhere more diverse/fast paced/in the saas world and am considering a revenue reporting manager position at a tech company.

I haven’t worked in revenue before and am not super familiar with 606 so I don’t know if I would flop but I’m a CPA with 8+ yes experience (mix of PA/corporate experience)

If I’m making 65k in my first year of audit, should I jump ship now before I reach senior for a job as a “senior accountant” with 85-95k comp? Or should I wait until I reach senior associate and then jump to the same 90-100k range?

Just apply. Good vibes to you all this late Thursday night.

More than likely receiving an offer for a more technical position than I’d like in my career. In short, I think it pigeonholes me into a role I’m not comfortable with and have little interest for.
How do I politely reject the offer when it comes through?

Has this happened to anyone? Where you go through the interview process - and they call you back saying you did great in the interview and that you'd be a great fit but the role has been filled. So they are going to pass you to other hiring managers and see if you'd be a good fit in the other teams? I'm so confused.

Ok fishbowl family - I need advice. Rising senior 1 here and realizing that I genuinely get no joy out of audit. My glowing review, complete with the “It’s not a matter of ‘if’ you’ll make partner, but ‘when’” line, resulted in a $4,000 salary increase. For the third year in a row.
