Go on a date, get some confidence talking to people
I don’t mean this in a rude way either, I mean as practice reading people and managing the conversation. What’s a date if not an interview for whether your f$&@ material or not lol
Frame and practice responding to questions before an interview. Meditate to keep yourself calm when you go onto these calls because you seem intimidated by them or your emotions are getting the better of you.

Have a conversation with the mirror, your dog or cat, etc. where you tell your story. Key is to remember it is a conversation and not a monologue or performance. Imagine the responses and reply in kind.

Come up with talking points, think and practice how you can use those to respond to different variations or types of questions

Get some interview coaching/prep.
Write out word for word your answers to the questions you are anticipating being asked. Practice saying the answers over and over until you feel comfortable with the story. The purpose is not to memorize, but to become confident in your delivery. You can also use the voice recorder on your phone to listen to yourself.
Disagree with M2. This is a great approach if you have trouble articulating on the fly
1.) Practice what you want to say and different ways to say it. “If they ask X” I can respond A, B, or C. The point isn’t to have canned answers but to get comfortable articulating what’s stuck in your head.
2.) On the day of the interview forget the above. No canned answers. Talk to them on a real basis. Listen to what they are asking and articulate something that you really mean. A genuine answer that you have thought through beforehand will flow.
In addition to what everyone else said: after being asked a question, pause, articulate response, then respond. The pause makes you sound thoughtful, because you ARE being thoughtful.
