You hit the balance sheet differently as a freelancer...
Hard truth to learn. Very few folks understand the business side of our business.
As a freelancer, it’s huge to have an agency that knows you and has you top of mind when they have a need. The best freelancers have small networks of agencies and keep bouncing between the same places. Doesn’t hurt they’ll pay you more than if you were full-time.
Don’t let what they were paying you as a staff employee influence the rate they want to pay you as a freelancer. Two different worlds.
I've noticed this trend a lot that places want to work with people who understand the inner workings while we're remote.
That said, if you need a copy partner, hit me up ✨
Of the agency/client? Like, they know how timesheets work there. They know what expectations are. They know who to reach out to if they have too much or too little work. On the flip side, the agency knows they're getting someone who will do work to the quality they're looking for.
Rising Star
Classic realization that they made a mistake and don’t have enough people to do the work. But not uncommon. Have seen other people freelance for their former agency.
Yeah that probably means they liked you but needed to let you go for budgets. Now they don’t pay your health insurance or 401k but can still work with you. If you’re happy with the rate they agreed to call it a win win and keep tapping them for more in the future.

That’s the law of the land!
Yup. I was canned and then hired back for a 4 month stint and then for 6 months. Sometimes you are a victim of the money crunchers and freelancers look better on the bottom line.
SAME!
