Hello All, I have been selected in the interview at NTT DATA and also submitted documents as requested by Recruiting HR. However , it's been a 10 days after docs submission but haven't received any call from HR for salary negotiation. On email follow up with HR, he said he is on it and will come back to me soon for further process. Any views.NTT DATA
Has anyone received an offer letter from EXL (Inductis India Pvt Ltd) that was extremely restrictive and reading which felt like one is signing up for going to prison rather than get employment? No leave policy mentioned, hundreds of paragraphs of worst case scenarios, pathetic salary breakup, etc. ?

Heres my history for reference:
Junior AD, year 1: 40k
Art director promotion, year 3: 55k, got to 65k-ish in 5 years with merit increase. Company could only match offer to 80k with salary band limits so I left for better opportunities.
Senior AD, jumped companies, fully remote: 90k
Art Supervisor (jumped after 1 year at previous agency because of a merger, it was also 2022 a peak employees market), year 7 in career, fully remote: 120k
Group art supervisor promotion, year 10 in career,: 140k
I don’t believe there is one set standard for raises or promotions in our field because it’s so subjective. A lot is determined by state you work in, size of team you manage and how revenue driving it is, size of organization, and other variables. I once asked my ECD what an “outstanding” ranking makes you eligible for on performance assessments and he said only 6%. And those people are eligible for promotions. So I would say between 6-10% increase is fair except you were underpaid by a lot for 4 years. For perspective, I made 100k as a senior designer managing no one. Made 45k more managing 3 designers. And if I were asked to take on more directs, I’d charge 12k-15k per new head I manage.
I’ve been managing 3 people for 3 years now as a Senior. Now I’ll get 3 more under me with a 10% increase. Even w the increase I wont make over 95K! Location always has something to do w it, im in ATL
I think promotion to art director often tops out between 75-95k.
Ok, then this is within the standard/average numbers. I guess growth in this econmy just looks different
Advertising pay scales look different. You make big salary jumps by leaving. The grass is always greener literally. But that’s when you have to value staying if you love the place and money.
Very true. Only true financial burdens would force you to leave a great work environment.
When I was promoted to AD I got a small raise and decided I want to go into Product because that’s where the big money was at. By the time I got enough experience in Product, this field became so popular and diluted, you basically have to work at a big well known company to get paid a lot. Truthfully, I could have stayed as an AD and by now I would have managed a Marketing Team. I don’t regret my decision because I prefer emerging tech to managing people but if you love management and mentorship - stay on your course, not because of money but because you are clearly good at it and passionate about it. Be grateful for 10% raises as many people in design don’t have a job at all, and will gladly take yours given the opportunity.
