I recently transitioned from agency recruiting where I was for 3 years to corporate recruiting. I went from a small, boutique agency that specialized in marketing to a highly matrixed organization.

I am having trouble navigating this transition confidently. Any tips for how to stand out? What not to do?

Note: they’re not forthright about the KPIs that they track, so it’s hard to benchmark myself. I know time to fill is important, but other than that I don’t know what moves the needle.

Do you always need an MBA to get into MBB?

I have completed 1.2 years in accenture as a salesforce tester and completely interested towards security..Is there any chance to change the domain within same company with proper skillset and certifications.

So I recently left a really fun job where I was ridiculously underpaid for a very very boring job that gave me a pretty big pay rise. What are the tldr differences between HR roles, people Operations, and people business partner positions? They all seem similar but I’m curious how y’all characterize them. I’m coming out of a very internal position at a nonprofit and I’m trying to better align my work accomplishments to make sense in more traditional career paths.

Hi Fishes, I've 2.25 Years of experience in SAP Basis, but I've lost interest in the same due to not receiving proper training, inability to practice on customer's system and shifts. International tax senior associate- Deloitte

I have an interview with Deloitte next week for senior associate Internacional tax in California. How much salary I should expect? I am sure this question will come up and I don't want to underbelly myself. Currently I am a senior at other Big4.

I got an offer at Nokia, and my new manager said that she wanted to put me in the higher salary bracket however the HR insisted that we lowered the range. That caused me to receive a much lower salary than expected. Should I renegotiate even when my manager said that she tried giving me more. Does HR really play that big of a role in this?

Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. I’ve noticed that even when I include a specific request or call to action, that my emails receive a response less than 50% of the time. Let’s talk about wrongful termination. The other day I was fired in the middle of the day without any warning. My colleagues called me because they were confused on why the Talent Manager dismissed me from the chat. I didn’t know what they were referring to. So I called my PM to ask what was happening, and she said that she just got off the phone with the TM and said they were terminating my contract on the spot due to me speaking up about micromanaging. No explanation just kicked out. Advice?
