I started at Capgemini a few months ago in SAP through campus hire. Its pretty fun and enjoy my coworkers thus far. However, my goal is to go into healthcare consulting. Dream is to make America's health system better by learning about various health systems around the world as a consultant 1) how do I achieve my dream before I start a family. 2) how can I best transition out of SAP into healthcare - thinking MBB can offer global consulting roles. Start networking your goal May be easier achieved by hopping into a startup briefly then becoming an independent consultant. I know a few people who started in consulting then went independent.

Network at Cap to get out of SAP. Offer to work on RFPs and any bizdev/practice development for another practice to see if you can finagle your way into another practice.

Probably the easiest option would be like SC1 says, to network your way onto healthcare-related projects. You can also consider moving to a healthcare specific like ZS, Trinity etc. At ZS the majority of our projects involve work with pharma companies and you learn about how to navigate the health care system from their lens.

Feel free to DM if you have more questions

Yes it is possible. For example in the past year, I’ve worked with the healthcare systems of the US and Germany.

Of course to be upfront, global opportunities are not present in every project. Based on my understanding of other consulting models, it may be harder than they advertise to actually get staffed on projects in several countries.

Some good direction here. I’ll add to it.

Get into case interviewing. Learn about problems, business problems that way. You’ll be extremely well positioned.

Lots of resources online, firmsconsulting is by far the gold standard when it comes to training. It’s run by former partners.

My manager recently went on maternity leave (2 months ago). She is leading a newly formed team and hired two new people just before leaving. We’re all remote and she hasn’t met most of the team in person (small team) but we will be in the city she lives in for a work meeting. If you were her - would you love getting a text from your team seeing if you’re available for a quick hang/meet the team in person/no work talk? OR would you want to just wait until you’re back from maternity?

Met a CIO of a VC firm for black beauty brands (like my own brand) who was interested in recruiting me as a venture associate - I would directly be working with her and a contracted finance team for due diligence comp analysis etc. after calling her she said they’d want to do a 90 day project before fully hiring me for the role. The thing is its also during the cycle of other jobs like MBB that I was also hoping to apply for. Should I take the 90 day paid project is that common practice in VC?

Hello all! New grad OT looking at taking a position as a pediatric home health therapist. Starting is $55 per visit and $115 for evals/re-evals. Is this pretty standard?

Received a job offer. Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on a concern I had about it. It's an entry level position, and I don't have much experience. The billables are 2040 a year. For billable hours in civil litigation and insurance defense, is 2040 hours for a 1st year associate on the high end in this field for a small or midsize firm? It seems like most attorneys I know have minimum requirements of around 1800. The compensation is around 80k a year.

Hi all. I’m 24 and trying to determine the best allocation of investments into my 401k, Roth IRA, brokerage account, and crypto investments. I know it’s better in the long term to max out 401k and IRA first before investing elsewhere, but I wish to retire much earlier than 65 if possible. Was thinking it would be good to allocate funds to a brokerage account that can help me retire earlier, but I’m a newbie, any advice would be very much appreciated!! TIA!

But when I saw the outline for the CFF material and there seems to be a lot of topics so I was wondering if the review course was sufficient considering this exam is also multiple choice. Thanks!
