Hi all, does anyone know of any recruiters or hiring managers that work in Affirm Inc. I've been applying for a couple of jobs with them . The role I have applied for I know lam a extraordinary fit for
100% and can help the company/ department succeed. I have a good deal of experience with this role and would love to talk to a recruiter or a hiring manager more about this. If anyone
could reach out to me if you have any information on that I would greatly appreciate it.

McKinsey & Company McKinsey & Company I have my first rounds (2 cases) for a position at the risk practice. Will I be interviewed by consultants in the risk practice? I wonder if I can ask some risk practice specific questions at the end of the interviews. (Didn’t get the names of the interviewers yet so I cannot google)

what was "toxic" about it?
I could’ve written this post down to the details. Can’t believe this is such a common experience.
Glad you removed yourself from the toxic situation and didn't try to suffer through what was already an incredibly difficult time for so many people. I know it can be discouraging but just keep putting yourself out there.
Rising Star
I'm sure almost every creative have felt your pain and frustration.
But I read the emotions muddying the sentiments and it'll help to untangle them.
When you say your agency has failed you, it sets up a premise like you expect your agency to help you win awards. Your agency hasn't failed you because they don't owe you awards. Advertising wasn't created for the sole purpose of creativity to win awards.
Sure some agencies love awards and set out to win them but that's typically the "bonus" on top of what might be "decent" work, or even work you want to shoot yourself for having to produce.
There are the usual suspects top tier agencies who make real work that win awards. And then there are agencies where creatives work on initiatives/pro bono, sell it internally, sell it to clients, and get enough stars aligned to have the idea produced and even more stars aligned to win an award.
If you want to make cool stuff, make it with a partner or there're resources online. I know people who make their cool stuff on their own and still get enough press to have clients come calling.
It helps to step back a bit for perspective.
I've been down this path and it made me miserable af, it colored how I view work, how I interacted with people, all that frustrations spill out. And people might receive it as aggression or antagonistic so next thing you know, it's toxic. (I'm raising this as a possibility and not diminishing or gaslighting you cos we know advertising is toxic af.)
I think you totally did the right thing, I hope you find something good soon. I would keep freelancing though, something will come up!
