10 years of experience where I’m at is a VP level making somewhere close to 120-160. I think you are both in the wrong position and not paid enough unless you made a significant career shift
It might be a “no-no”, but it’s a protected right. Find someone willing to have that conversation with you— your company cannot retaliate against you for talking about your pay. Be sure to document *everything* so if suspect behavior starts coming from your leadership, you can prove a direct correlation.
$82k for 10 years of experience?
That's poor
I have 12yrs and I’m at 125k. Two years ago I was between 100-110k
How long have you been at your current company? They will probably push back against any significant raise without a promotion, even if it is the market rate adjustment.
I've been at the current company for a little under 2 years.
Make a reasonable assumption about what’s on the table, and act on that assumption.
Is there a reason why you still are a SAE with 10 years of experience? Asking because I’m an AS with 8 YOE. I know everyone has different timing and process, but probably you have been too long under the same title and probably that’s where your salary/responsibilities are coming from.
Valid question! I started out on the Creative side then transitioned to Account Service. It stalled me a bit, but it also makes more well rounded now. Was hoping it would eventually catch up, but obviously that hasn’t been the case.
