I was a little worried about leaving KPMG for EY. But I just found out about their unlimited PTO policy. I'm so excited! What a thoughtful move on EY's part. I feel like they always care about their employees the most and differentiate themselves amongst the big 4. I feel like they can definitely swell the ranks now!

Best. Policy. Ever. All you have to do is take PTO everyday. After all, it's unlimited!

UNLIMITED POWER!!

Just wait for the discussions during performance reviews about how much time people take and how dedicated they are / are not to the firm and clients! It’s going to be so awesome!

Everyone at KPMG is so entitled, I bet this new policy will fix that at EY.

likefunny

I know right. Bunch of snobby millenials. I hope the Boomers put us in our place.

funnylike

It sounds pretty awesome but actually not. If the employees can take more than 30 - 40 PTOs a year, that's good side of it. But realistically it's not like that. The firm just do it to remove PTO accruals and doesn't want to pay the accrued pto hours when you leave the firm.

Just do your work and take your time off. Be thankful you have a job and quit acting so entitled.

Feeling really lonely this holiday season and I think it's time for a change. I love my job but I'm realizing I devote too much time to it. I would really like to expand my social circle and potentially meet someone, but I don't really know where to start. Ideally my partner would also work in healthcare, but it isn't a dealbreaker for me. Ladies what should I do?? I'm a 32 year old woman with no kids.

I’m having my 3rd round of interviews with an IT recruiting agency in Seattle next week! I have asked good questions about culture, mentorship, etc. but want to really impress them.

Does anyone have tips to Ace an interview for an entry level recruiting position? I feel good about it because they told me they typically hire people with no experience for this role but I have some RC & corporate experience.

Any tips or advice is much appreciated!!!!

I am thinking of leaving my stable full time job for a contract position (ongoing with no time frame) for a bigger raise (making an exra $20/hour) with a large tech company. I'll still get benefits through Aquent so it's not a huge loss. It just feels risky in terms of being a contractor and the potential for it to end at anytime. Seems like a good opportunity though to get my foot in the door and potentially apply for full time jobs later on

Smallish firm that just merged with another smallish firm. We're switching tax software and about 3/4 of my team is anxious about any change after a couple of roller coaster years full of changes already (pre-merger and unrelated to it.)

Anything you recommend to ease the transition? If it makes a difference for your advice, staff is on the older side. They had buy in on the software and plenty of demos and time to check it out and test it etc. But implementing it is making them anxious

Hello all,

I'm a PA in the PNW working for a private group staffing ED's in several hospitals. Recently the group has asked the PA's to take on a couple new roles (triaging and rapid track from triage i.e. straightforward ESI 4, 5). With these changes the PA's are considering asking for increased pay in the form of an addition of a COLA (cost of living adjustment) to our normal salary. Was wondering if any other PA's in the ED have these in their contracts and at what rate.

-Thanks
