I am a Business Analyst. I have 10 years of working experience in India. In May 2022 I will complete MSc Business Analytics from Maynooth university.

Has anyone had experience pivoting w/ a nontechnical background to a big tech company? Currently at a biotech startup, BA in bio from a top 3 Uni, but worried since my degree isn’t in finance or business or CS that they won’t give me a chance. Trying to pivot to a role in BizOps, Project Management, Enablement, etc.

I'm an introverted person, like to keep to myself, focus on work, spend the rest of my time on family, gym etc. I've been told that I need to work on my communication and client relationship building skills. any books I can read? I don't follow pop. culture anymore, no longer actively follow team sports (but sporty myself) as I consider it bread and circus for the masses and don't rly enjoy work drinks... Am I doomed? Hi - I’ve moved to Toronto (from Asia) with 5 YOE in Corporate banking + 2 YOE IB/capital markets (7 YOE in TOTAL) working roles in Front Office and financial analysis.

Believe I’d be a great fit as an Associate in the same space at the major banks (RBC, TD, Scotia, CIBC etc) or in PE/ Asset management.

Should I get a CPA for Transaction Due Diligence?
I’m a new grad working in FDD and I’m trying to decide if becoming a CPA is worth it. I do not plan on staying in accounting in the future. I’m more interested in strategy work. I certainly do not want to do Audit. Would you recommend getting the CPA considering my career aspirations? Do you think it’s worth it? If not, what is the best way to use my time efficiently?

Planning to do a PRM or FRM qual. How useful is it to move from Big 4 Risk and reg consulting to industry? Finding it hard to get anything other than non-PM roles

How do you remind yourself why you got into the field in the first place? Sometimes it feels like my passion for the job is long gone.

Why do clients always think I should be able to double their ROI right away... it takes time folks, and putting extra pressure on the marketing team does not make us faster

I worked 2m for startup company and absconded due to bitter experience from Jun'21 - July'21 , later immediately joined to another company Aug'21 to present(under notice period). Now I got offer with comcast and will moving on Jan'23. I'm bit worried because I don't have releiving letter for those 2m but all other records are clear with me(includes to company I'm currently serving notice period). I yet to reveal this 2m to my Hr. Should I tell and leave as such, Kindly pour your advice.

I have a question. I work as an assistant manager been a manager for a while worked for the company for 6 years. I know crew gets paid a dollar less than me yet a do a lot ( its part of my job ) I asked for a raise I was told wait 3 months. Waited I asked again was told I needed to do this this and that. I feel like I'm under paid, but I love my job and crew.
