I was invited to an "Introduction Call" by a BCG recruiter. I had sent a cold email to a manager director with my CV asking for a call and apparently he shared this with her. This is all she told me.
Is anyone familiar with these Introduction Calls? Are they evaluative? Is it just a courtesy to the Senior Partner which generally won't lead to an interview? Any help appreciated.

It's day 2 for me at Deloitte (PDM) , just received my laptop yesterday , completed a few of the trainings and created/uploaded my resume. Coach and onboarding advisor have not been assigned yet. When do I get assigned to a project? What does that process look like ? How long does this orientation go on for ? While I look for work, it’s a bit discouraging seeing how hundreds of people apply for positions I see on LinkedIn. I still apply because you never know and AI plays a huge effect in selections. Should I even bother applying when there are more than 100 applications?

Completed onsite interviews for the TAM role and recruiter gave me feedback that my technical depth wasn’t up to par for the role but my googleness/leadership and GCA interview feedback was stellar so they plan to propose me for Cloud PM roles instead.
