I work for a tiny company that offers remote backend office management, web design, and marketing solutions. Being that it's a tiny co., I got chummy w/ the 2 CEOs. One of them said she needed help w/ administrative type stuff a couple hours a week and asked if I could help. I said ok, but it's turned into being her full time assistant- and she's a demon! Plus, I still have MY job to do. How do I tell her I want to go back to my old position? I know she'll get mad and make my life hell.

I would say

"I've been happy to help, but it's become clear that this admin work may require an outside hire. It has ended up being too far out of the scope of work I was hired to do and it's affecting that job. I would suggest UpWork or maybe a personal assistant. "

Maybe that will help you get started with the conversation. :)

Also decide if any of those tasks can be automated and suggest a short term hire to take care of that.

Funny, no one ever said that before. 7 years in seems to be sticking.

For those at Accenture Strategy London, I’m supposed to be joining as a Strat Analyst. Is it worth joining? I’m seeing a lot of negative press on FB but I’m assuming it’s mostly in the US. I would say I’m quite surprised they are paying Management Consulting salaries at Analyst level though. However I’m more interested in the work and L&D. Is the work “strategic” or is it more ops consulting/implementation? Which teams/industries do more “real” strategy focused projects than others?

How do you get better at contract negotiations? (I’m a 4th yr. in commercial real estate) I feel like I’m generally good at pulling together an initial draft of an agreement (ex PSAs)...but I struggle when comments come back.
