Think of what you really want. Is it mainly career growth, compensation and benefits or career stability. Growth really depends on the person. You feel like you are not growing because you limit yourself on what the company just requires you to do. Be a little extra and proactive. Show your company that you can give more than what your current role requires you to do.
I loathe that feeling of stagnation. I've been there. If you're left with enough mental energy to take up a side project or get a new certification, do so. But if you're really feeling like you're ready to further your skills, push for that advisor role sooner or keep an eye on the job boards.
