It’s a trap

Cant really speak for any other groups at PwC , but I’ve been in this group at the firm for 2yrs+ and besides busy seasons (which will be a given in compliance anywhere), my experience has been great. I’ve been able to have a life outside of work while also being Tier 1.

Yes, very easy hours during the fall and spring, especially in bigger cities! Low stress as well.

80 hour weeks is unprecedented

If you’re in NY- run. AWM is well known to be the worst compliance group at PwC in NYC.

I’m in SALT-AWM in another large office (definitely smaller than NYC), but we sometimes bring on NYC managers and seniors, and it’s the perfect mix of toxic offices.

Getting mixed signals from PWC here lol

I also want to add to this that all of our tax groups are hiring, not just AWM Tax, and not just in the NY Office. If you’re interested in doing provision work, dm me and I can try to get you in connect you with someone.

Yikes on the competitive pay statement. That is all.

Last year when Covid broke, I received a couple of interview calls but ignored them as I felt the organization kept me at work when other companies cut short their HR staff so I should be with them even if with no appraisal. But now, I was living in the fool's paradise when I am told to leave with no job offers in hand, car and home loan, dependent parents, expecting jobless spouse with a 3-year old kid.

My mother always kept me going, even in the most difficult times, everytime I spoke with her on the phone while I was deployed I left smiling and feeling the warmth that only a mother could bring, I'm here thanks to her.

I was approached on LinkedIn for an early career recruiting role in DFW, TX. I don't have direct experience, but I have the university experience/connections from working in career services. How can I know I'm getting the best salary and not just settling at the low end of the range?
