If i abscond from a company where I have just worked for 40 days. And then join teh new company where bgv happens only after joining there... What is the chance I might get fired ? Just a scenario based question

According to California Law, employers must pay unused vacation. Each year, we are given 33 days of holidays, no accrual. I was just laid off and my employer only paid half of my vacation because it’s mid year. Is this legal?

In hibob it says I had 32.5 days accrued.

My company says the s user id provided by them will get de-activated once I leave (in a week). I have not claimed the amount also.
