Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?

Remote projects/roles are all about trust. In terms of can you travel to another city—it depends on your manager. So long as my team gets their work done, I don’t care where they work from. But...I do expect them to be available during business hours in our project location and attend our regular project meetings. If I know they have to go somewhere, we can make adjustments. If they travel and we don’t know, that breaks the trust.
Work from wherever you want
I would say you can work from wherever, but let your manager know. Remote roles are highly dependant on open communication and trust
Only thing to consider is if you’re going international then you’ll run into tax/visa requirements unless you don’t disclose.
Been working completely remote for the past 6 months as an Analyst. I've worked from across the country a few times. Just always be available during business hours, have call forwarding to your cell set at all times, and be willing to put in the kind of work nobody can question... nobody will question where you are at that point.
If u worked for me, i wouldn’t give a $hit where u were working from as long as u got ur work done and were available online and over phone when i need you.
