I don’t want to get sick, but my booster is 4-5 months old and it’s likely I’ll get sick eventually. Given that, I’d much rather get omicron than delta or whatever comes next from either branch or others (of course, we don’t pick what we get hit with, so still trying to play it safe). It’ll likely get worse from here on out, because as long as vax rates remain at this level we’re going to see a sweep of new types every few months, and reinfection is happening for those touting just natural immunity.
Was true with Delta and it’s risk profile was higher, for both vax status.

I am vaxxed and got omicron and it was no bueno. Glad it wasn’t worse.

Thanks! I have asthma and am so glad it wasn’t worse. I was down and out for 5 days. I’m so glad I had the vaccine. Sadly I got boosted while I unknowingly had covid. Woof.
I hope everyone gets omicron (especially as a milder strain), and therefore, we achieve herd immunity.
