I don’t think hippa applies to a voluntary support group.
I would definitely go. It is hard to relate to a support group when you have nothing similar going on, in my opinion. But it's great to have a group where there are educators only so that we can share our experiences. Especially in these trying times

Group confidentiality is always stressed among participants. Other than that I’m not sure what you mean by hippa protected.
I’m referring to a voluntary support group. No medical information discussed unless the participant reveals their own med info. HIPAA is related to privacy. If the participant talks about themselves, it’s not a hipaa violation.
No. I don’t trust that my privacy would be kept. I would seek my own therapist.
I get that. A therapist is a great choice as well.
