Definitely putting it after my name, I worked hard to get it !
For example in some states (NC for example) you can't use CPA behind your name unless you have at least a NC reciprocal license. It's a stupid rule but it exists.
Umm yes. Definitely. A year or two after you have it you can take it down.
No...i took a manager social media training and the instructor advised us not to put it after your name but you can put it in the license section of profile.
Our firm told us not to for years because all professionals were supposed to be certified in the firm, and partners were the ones not renewing properly. But something changed about 4 years ago and now we do. Has do do some states reciprocity but the rules are changing
No...I don't think that the firms want us putting CPA because we are also using the firm name in our LinkedIn title and they don't want others thinking that everyone at the firm is a CPA. At least that's what I heard....
No... Some states have funny rules about putting CPA behind your name, so the firm doesn't want you to do use it on your LinkedIn profile. We don't put it on our business cards either.
I had no idea about the above ^ what are "funny rules" about putting CPA behind your name?
I have also never heard about these rules. I put mine after my name and haven't heard anything about it not being appropriate?
Funny rules like you have to take an ethics test and then you're licensed? Because once you're licensed, you're armed and ready.
It's your LinkedIn. You can put it after your name if you want. There's also a section for it in your bio.
Put it in for sure!
Damn right I do. I worked my ass off for that.
One of my seniors has it after his name. I probably won't once I get it because I don't like the way it looks but that's just me being crazy.
@manager2 has the best idea so far - put it in the certification section
