Layoffs at Walmart corporate 😬😬
Hi fishes,
Any guess how many people are laid off from Publicis sapient in past few days? Really scared for my future as I'm also under probation period and deeply regret for my choice of joining this firm...I don't understand why were they recruiting peeps when they were short of projects. Publicis Sapient

What you can do is frame it in the right context. Cultural fit. Didn’t align on what success looks like. Vague direction led us to both realize this wasn’t working so we parted ways. The less blame you assign, and the less bitterness you exude, the better off you’ll be
Yes perfect.
As someone who was laid of legitly twice in a short span, this is why I worry that people think I'm lieing and won't consider me for work now.
I think there are worse lies told every day
Usually with layoffs they are willing to give you a reference. If someone told me they got laid off they I would want to speak to their former employer. I got laid off and was offered a reference, and when I was forced to lay off people I did not want to let go, I wrote them a reference (and also got on the phone and gave a phone reference.)
I reckon.
The language is “it wasn’t a good fit"
You’re allowed to do whatever works for you so that you can work again and support yourself and your family (if you got one), provided you can get away with it. You’re not hurting anyone by saying that.
Unless you got fired for embezzlement or sexual harassment or something like that, I think it’s fair game. And if you got fired for one of those reasons, then chances are you don’t give a fuck about ethics anyway. But you wouldn’t be here asking this, if that we’re the case.
I’ve been fired plenty, but as far as anyone else knows, “freelance contract ended”.
The company you’re leaving is legally obligated to no comment the situation.
You can’t. Your new employer will be allowed to find out, and if you got fired for cause you won’t be able to claim unemployment.
Is there a difference between being fired for cause and fired for performance?
What are you gonna say? That you were fired?
Were you fired for something specific?
Depending on the city, lying can prove tricky. If the city is small people will talk and word will get out, if it’s a large/new city then do whatever you want. If they were fired cuz they aren’t good, the new job will figure it out eventually.
Probably shouldn’t. But ask for a letter of reference in return for smooth departure, unless you were stealing pencils.
