If you moved from MM to Big 4, especially when you had a generally good team/WLB at MM, would you mind sharing why? My comp is below market but I wonder if that should be the only deciding factor and am afraid of building my internal network/goodwill/brand again. I guess I’m looking for validation through others’ experience and whether it has worked out for you.

I accepted a $115K base salary, 13% bonus, 10k sign on bonus (scientist supervisor) job and two weeks later, got a $135K base, 17% bonus, and 15K sign on bonus (Senior scientist role) offer from another company. Should I accept the new offer ? How do I tell the previous company about this? Also, I’ve already negotiated with the first company and the $115K base is the negotiated salary. I really do not prefer one company over the other. They’re both great! I’m very confused here. TIA🙏

I’m a second year associate at a small, but reputable firm. My caseload is almost entirely made up of clients who were referred to one of the partners but the partners are too busy so I end up taking the case. The clients are told up front that an associate, rather than a partner will be taking his/her case.
