If you were fully remote and worked 2-3 hours a day - what skill would you learn or certificate would you try and get? New role sucks - but trying to make the most of it by learning a new skill / cert that can help me pivot. AWS Associate? Sec +? Salesforce? SQL/Python?

I’ve been a club performing rep for years at a SaaS company…but as an enterprise account exec… my average deal size is around $75k in annual recurring, quota of $1M. This is inline for my company but low when I speak with others for Enterprise rep openings. Any thoughts on recommendations for steps to bridge that gap?

I don’t think people understand what the difference between conservative and liberal judicial philosophies are. Hi guys, I got an offer from x and i discussed that with my current. At 1st current said they can only give 30% increment. I said I can't stay with this cause i got 70% and expect at least 50%(as the 70% included VP and the current org don't have vp, they have bonus). Then they said they can do max 45%. I really wanted to stay here so I said okay to current. Then now hr called me and said they are matching the offer(no vp). What should I make out of it? What made them change their mind?

For the NJ folks who work in NYC - my potential new employer has offices in both NJ and NYC. The NJ office is a 1.5 hour drive vs. NYC ~40 min commute via train. Still very much hybrid work arrangement. Given the option, which office would you prefer to be based out of and why? Mostly asking from a tax perspective. While I believe it’ll even out when filing, I’d be paying state tax in both states throughout the year, right?

Hi all, I am a 4th year chemistry PHD student (International/Indian) and will surely finish in about a year, around Aug23. It can work for pharma (Merck, Pfizer, GSK etc.) as a scientist. However, I recently learnt that consulting firms particularly MBB also hire PHDs from diverse background. I am wondering what steps can I take in a year to do the transition if its possible?
