If you feel like you’ve over eaten, throw it up and try again.
Run, Forrest
I am lazy and also cannot run or workout because of a back problem. I also love to eat and cannot control diet.
I researched a lot and gave up on everything internet said and started experimenting.
I have my dinner at 6pm and next meal is at 7am the next day. I take in absolutely nothing between 6pm and 7am. Thats more than 12 hrs in a day of not taking in anything. Rest of the day I make sure I take enough water and dont stop myself from eating anything.
I shed 20 pounds in last 6 months. Now, I do not know if this eating habit helped or if anything else is contributing to weight loss. I obviously cannot guarantee if this will work for anyone else. Just working for me now :)
Absolutely. Run. Try to significantly reduce your intake of bread, rice, and red meat. More fruits, veggies, nuts, fish and chicken. Eat like 5 small meals throughout the day. Drink lots of water.
Ey1- stress is making you lose weight
Keto, stronglift 5x5, sleep.
I lost 50lbs in 8 months doing so.
Cut out bread, pasta, empty carbs. More protein. Eggs and fruit in the morning. No muffins, donuts, pancakes. Salad with lean protein at lunch instead of a sandwich. These changes can help you shed the weight. Also agree with others on getting active whatever that may be with your back issues.
No workout program should be out of the picture for you because of back issues. Scale correctly, focus on form and movement patterns and then build strength. Proper deadlifts, god back extensions and good mornings will actually help with back issues. Squatting properly will help wth knee and issues. Ignoring these points of weakness means that the issues will only continue. Do some yoga too. Square that diet away and get past the excuses.
90% is diet. I get up and make sure I walk every hour I am in the office. I walk to the office and I eat well during the week. Don’t drink at client engagements either unless a special occasion. Down 30 pounds in 5 months
The sad truth... eat/drink less, exercise more. Keto seems to work well for me to help drop weight. Offering to take the 15 month old off momma’s hands and go for a walk in the park or something active also works.
Atk1- possible.
Reduce carbs - shift balance to more protein. Join Crossfit.
I have a relatively low effort answer for you. Just lost 10lbs in 2 months after my second (I’m the dad... pregnant wife is not a good influence).
Find an hour to walk per day (can be multiple). Then limit your calories to at or slightly below your daily burn rate (tdee).
This will do it for most people. Expect about half a pound per week. Very sustainable.
Thanks for the tips. My natural reaction uscoming up with excuses but I can definitely work on the carb/calorie reduction. CrossFit isnt viable for me given back issues but can definitely try to walk/run frequently instead of playing Xbox and potentially start 5x5 down the track.
While your wife is pregnant and dinner is over, DON’T eat her leftovers. When you’re at a restaurant with your young child, don’t eat anyone’s leftovers. Point is, watch your calorie intake. Now more than ever. I ate a lot right along with my pregnant wife, and I regretted it for two years
How is your question related to your designation and promotion ?
I'm expecting to need to over perform in the next performance year to make director which means more work hours on my part.
Eat less..sleep more. Pray if you want to.
Jiu jitsu and try to tighten up the diet.
