I'm a 25 year old male. I've been a correctional officer working for the state of Texas for the last 6 years as of 11/13/2023. 6 years means im a COV or topped out in pay currently, which is around 54k/year with benefits(retirement/pension plan, health insurance paid for, a lot of time off accumulated... but seldom used.) We got approved for a 5% raise that will start September 1st of next year. Which will bring me up to 57k/year with benefits. My issue here is that I'm so burnt out 1/2

I’ve worked at places that all have different holiday policies. EA has at minimum a nice 10 day shutdown from Christmas Eve through New Years. It’s great to know that there will be no slack messages or an exploded inbox to come back to while away. I’ve been at other studios that only give you Christmas Eve & Day and New Years Eve & Day and then the rest is up to you to request for PTO and this is obviously the suck.
