Is EY’s culture deteriorating?
Hi Fishes,
I Will be Joining PWC AC B as SA2 on Sept 2,2022. Just want to know about Appraisal cycle. Is it Mid Year or Annual appraisal process. Also, will I be eligible for next appraisal cycle ? Tried asking the same Question to HR, but didn't get a proper response. She just mentioned as per company policy.

Did EY get rid of bravo awards?
Think they did a good job on this piece. It was a truly embarrassing moment for the firm, but I think it’s being handled as well as can be expected. Should go smoothly this year 🤞

look at your resume again. i started off in tax as well and ended up staff accountant after 2.5 - 3 years in tax. what i did was tailor my responsibilities more to general accounting. for example, did you do bookkeeping for your clients prior to tax preparation or reconcile their accounts? mention that. keep the actual tax responsibilities very light on your resume. employers just want to make sure you have transferrable knowledge. i hope this helps, good luck! :)
your resume really does matter. not only does it make a first impression, but i imagine that if your interviewer didn’t take many (or good) notes about your experience during the interview, then they could refer to your resume after the fact and that might solidify their hiring decision. that’s just what i imagine happening; i don’t actually know since i’m not in a managerial position
You really should have been doing all this 2 years ago when all the firms do on campus recruiting.
Yea that’s rough. Honestly it’s hard to find a job at a larger accounting firm if you don’t take advantage of on campus recruiting. See if your career services have any leads or insights. It’s tough out here for fresh grads. Not quite as bad as 08 but it’s bad.
I’d recommend working with a reputable recruiting agency who can assist you. They have the insight on the hiring manager and the team to help you move forward in the interviews
