I'm a SAE wanting to transition into more of a strategy position but am losing out to other candidates with actual strategy experience. How do I combat this? I do work on strategy that I can leverage but any other ideas?

Exit opportunities from SALT - partnership focus? Starting to get worried that the opportunities are too slim and debating leaving for a federal position (even if at a lower title) to gain experience. Anyone have experience with this? I feel like my only options right now are the same jobs just at different cpa firms.

Can my last day of work coincide with the first day of work for a new position ? Or 1/2 day for one and 1/2 day for the other.

Can someone explain how billable hours work? At a new agency and although I had to fill timesheets at my previous agencies, they were mainly used to ensure we weren’t over servicing a client/for setting the appropriate retainer for contract renewals.
