Hmmmm. I’ve seen this before. Have you ever heard of someone “being managed out”? Not saying that’s what this is. But I’d be concerned they’re trying to get you to self-select out of this role. In this climate, they may not be able to justify letting someone go, but they also don’t appear to be leaning on you to help. Someone who’s needed always has work - too much, for most. You may want to dust off your resume. Go find an employer who wants you.
You’d know better if this is common in Big 4. I know from when I’ve seen this outside of Big 4 it wasn’t a good sign. Fingers crossed I’m wrong!
You’re a staff, so I’d encourage you to wait it out. Keep asking around, network, look for trainings, set up happy hours. Do what you can and just hang in there.
I'm in FAAS and experiencing the same thing except being harper on by having low hours/utilization.
I'm Staff 2 and received great feedback in all my feedback cycles so it's been very frustrating not being able to be busy working and learning.
Gotcha, that’s all you can do. Not sure why they’re getting on your case then.
