There’s no way you’d be let go. And raises/bonuses are pretty much a given every year in public accounting. You might just get a slightly lower percentage compared to your peers if they got higher utilization but in my experience how you did the work matters far more.
We don’t really fire people. You gotta really f up. You’ll be fine just don’t expect a good raise or any VC
to lack of work on a client, there was a big project delay.
Did you look for other work? Did you notify the managers and senior managers about it? Do you have emails to scheduled and other managers asking for work? If you just lay low when there is no work, that will reflect really bad on you.
You’ll be fine but don’t expect high raises because they assess utilization and compare to peers within your group
K2 is wrong. You’re adjusted utilization is only a metric for determining VC against other associates
Per my PML, utilization has a very insignificant effect on VC and raise
VC?
@Manager1 Variable Compensation, basically our bonuses
Thanks for the info, but I’m ok with not receiving a raise/bonus this year. I was more worried about being let go. Does anyone have tips on how to get work when it seems like there isn’t any?
