I’m about to turn 44 next month. I have pretty good skin but the wrinkles on my forehead and eyes are getting worse. I’ve gone to a dermatologist and have a good skincare ritual but aging happens. Anyone have a good foundation recommendation for mature skin that’s long wearing and medium coverage? Looking for something that doesn’t settle in wrinkles as much.

If you're not a fan of thick products like foundations, try Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream from It Cosmetics. I'm pretty sure the product is formulated by plastic surgeons. It also has SPF 50 so you get that extra sheet of protection.

As a makeup artist, I use Dior Capture Totale Triple Correcting Serum Foundation on my older clients. This product always leaves a smooth, radiant, and supple finish that I just can't get from any other product.

ILIA has a great skin tint that is pretty moisturizing and doesn’t crease! My mom started using it too and she’s a few years older than you and is loving it on her skin

I like Ilia’s tinted serum

I second this. Also in my 40s and this is my new go to!

I think I found the best product with Clinique Even Better Makeup. When hiding wrinkles, we often think that the thicker the better. But this product changed my mind. It'[s lightweight and makes your skin look natural.

Having a similar issue myself...I found laura mercier to be pretty good but it can depend on skin tones I've found. Might be worth asking your derm for recs, sometimes they have some really good advice on what else you can do

Consider NARS light reflecting foundation.

I love NARS. Would also recommend adding retinol to your skincare routine.

Have you tried tinted moisturizers?

Haven’t found one I like yet. I used BareMinerals for a while but I think the minerals are now not great for wrinkles

I use Maybelline New York Instant Age Rewind Radiant Firming Makeup. If you want, you can definitely try this one out. SPF 18 combined with other skin firming ingredients just makes this a great product. It doesn't dry my skin at all. I still feel refreshed even when I'm tired.

If you haven't tried or heard of Estee Lauder's Perfectionist Youth-Infusing Makeup Broad Spectrum, then you're missing out. This is the best foundation I've ever used. My skin still looks fresh and radiant at the end of the day. I also love that I can build up the coverage.

Go with CoverGirl + Olay Simply Ageless 3-in-1 Liquid Foundation. It doesn't only help you conceal signs of aging but also fight those signs for you with their ingredients. Compared to other lower range products, this one doesn't oxidize at all. I have been using this for months now.

It's a good thing I discovered Complexion Rescue Hydrating Foundation Stick from BareMinerals as I'm always on-the-go. It's tone-correcting and blends really really well. Has good coverage but feels light on the skin.

I use L’Oreal Paris Infallible Foundation with its powder version. It doesn't add weight but gives me the same coverage as the liquid.

I use the Estée Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Moisturizing Foundation SPF 45. I love that it already has SPF in it so it has extra protection. On older skin, some foundations might feel uncomfortable dry, especially if you apply them without a serum first. However, this is not a problem with Estée Lauder's dual-purpose cream.

I' have been using Lancome Teint Miracle Foundation for almost 5 years now. I love that it doesn't cake and dry up on my fine lines like other products I've used through the years.

On a tight budget? The Maybelline Fit Me liquid foundation, which is incredibly light and designed to blur texture without blocking pores, is your best option. The variety of shades is also quite impressive.

Look. I have been on the hunt for the best foundation for mature skin for months. It is only with Clarins Extra-Firming Foundation that I often received compliments. They keep telling me that I looked better, fresher, and healthier.

The Kevyn Aucoin Beauty Foundation Balm is as full coverage as full coverage can get. It is simple to manipulate without wrinkling thanks to its creamy texture.

I've been working out since early 2020 6x/ week and lost ~30lbs. However, I didn't adjust my eating -only switched to an intermittent fasting schedule (eat between 12-8pm). My meals are relatively balanced so not a major issue...

Went for a pre-employment drug test yesterday. They never asked me if I was on any medications. I had to ask them and was told "oh yeah, just put any you may think make a difference in this text box." I put Xanax, Flexeril, and gabapentin. All of which are prescribed and used as directed. Now I'm terrified that I should have put ALL my meds, to including my psych meds. I've been sober over 12 years and never touched drugs (just booze) but I'm having a full blown panic attack.

We recently got the ok to schedule our orientation and delivery date for our IVF medications and all I have to say is ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF! My husband has dermatomyositis, and his doctor put off treatment so that we could do some collection and go through IVF. I felt like my dr was blowing off our timeline, but I persisted. I worked with CVS Caremark directly and got approval in 2 days (not the expected 3 weeks). Moral of the story: ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF!

First day of 30mg vyvanse today. Had a rush of energy and hyperfocus (too much so) about 2-4 hours in, but had a complete crash 5hrs after taking the pill (just a wave of fatigue, felt very good after a quick 15min nap actually) and not sure if it had any effect after. Is this normal? Should I stick it out for a few days or is this a big sign that I’m not on the right meds/dose? Nervous to keep trialling this during the workday since a midday crash is not ideal. Appreciate any advice!
